Biography

Burak is a staff attorney based in the Los Angeles office of White & Case and is a member of the Firm's Tech Disputes and Data, Privacy & Security practice groups. He specializes in intermediary liability and has advised major technology and social media platforms in litigation and regulatory disputes across global jurisdictions. Burak also counsels clients on navigating and complying with state, federal, and international privacy and artificial intelligence laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Prior to joining White & Case, Burak worked as a privacy policy analyst for a global privacy and data policy think tank based in Washington, DC, where he contributed to the mission of developing global solutions and best practices for privacy and responsible data use in collaboration with industry leaders, regulatory authorities, and policymakers.

Burak holds the AIGP, CIPM, CIPP/US, and CIPP/E credentials as a Certified Information Privacy Professional from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
