Biography

Overview

Candace McCready is the Director of Business Development for White & Case's Global Debt Finance and Global Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practices. She is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction for each practice, growing client relationships and improving business efficiency. Formerly Head of Strategy & Development for the White & Case's Americas Banking Section and the EMEA Special Situations and Distressed Funds practice, Candace has worked closely with many market participants, and alongside relevant industry and practice groups, to ensure that White & Case's product and situational expertise is leveraged effectively.

Before moving into her strategic role, Candace was a senior associate in the firm's Debt Finance Group, where she focused on leveraged finance transactions and financial restructurings. She has advised on numerous cross-border transactions, and has spent time on secondment to leveraged finance teams at investment banks. Candace has worked with a diverse range of clients including investment banks, credit funds, private equity sponsors, corporates, distressed investors, creditor committees and insolvency practitioners.

Before joining White & Case in July 2010, she worked for a leading New Zealand law firm.
