Biography
Overview
Chris advises lenders, borrowers, sponsors and governments on the development and financing of major domestic and international energy and infrastructure projects. Chris has particular experience in project finance but has also advised across corporate and acquisition financings and capital market transactions.
Chris is a Senior Associate in the Firm's Project Development and Finance Group, a global team dedicated to providing business and strategic advice to clients regarding financing transactions, which enable the completion of major projects.
Experience
Chris' relevant experience includes:
Advising Neoen and John Laing on the A$650 million portfolio refinancing of all three stages of the Hornsdale Wind Farm in South Australia.
Advising Amp Solar Group on the development and project financing of its 40MW Molong solar farm in Australia.
Advising Hobart International Airport in relation to the refinancing of its existing debt package.
Advising Investec on the refinancing of the 65 MW Rugby Run Solar Farm project.
Advising Whitehaven Coal Limited on its $1 billion secured corporate refinancing facility.
Advising RMS on the funding and financing arrangements of stage three of the WestConnex project and the sale of all three stages of WestConnex to the Transurban-led Sydney Transport Partners consortium (IJGlobal "Asia Pacific Transport Deal of the Year 2018"*
Advising APLNG on their US private placement (IJGlobal "Asia Pacific Midstream Oil and Gas Deal of the Year" 2018) and commercial bank refinancings*
Advising the sponsors on their successful bid and project financing of the €1bn Bratislava D4/R7 ring road PPP in Slovakia, (IJGlobal "European Roads Deal of the Year 2016" and Project Finance International "European PPP Deal of the Year 2016")*
Advising AMP Capital on the acquisition of a stake in the Perth Stadium PPP Project*
Advising the NSW Environment Protection Authority on the State's "Return and Earn" container deposit scheme called Return and Earn*
Advising the sponsors on the construction and operation of the Bulk Liquids Terminal facilities for the import and storage of gasoil, LPG, and LNG in Cairo, Egypt*
