Christian Blank is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution group in London, whose practice focuses on international arbitration and commercial litigation.
Christian's experience covers disputes in a wide range of industry sectors, including transport, infrastructure, oil and gas, and retail. He has experience of arbitrations conducted under the ICC and LCIA rules, as well as ad hoc adjudication proceedings, and of court proceedings in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He also advises regularly on the drafting of commercial contracts.
In 2011, Christian spent six months on secondment to the firm's Hong Kong office.
Christian also frequently advises at the Citizens Advice Bureau at the Royal Courts of Justice, and volunteers at the legal advice clinic at the Whitechapel Homeless Mission.
Representing the lead member of a contractor consortium in an ICC arbitration against a government entity, in relation to claims and counter-claims concerning the termination of a construction contract relating to a major rail project in Southern Europe.
Representing a European tunnelling contractor in an LCIA arbitration against an Asian entity, in relation to claims and counter-claims arising out of a contract for micro-tunnelling works in the Middle East.
Advising a major European manufacturer of rolling stock in relation to claims arising out of the supply of rolling stock for a commuter rail system in India.
Advising a manufacturer of luxury yachts in relation to multiple disputes under international distribution agreements, debt proceedings and the seizure of assets.
Acting for a major oil and gas company in relation to High Court proceedings relating to the calculation of payments due under a drillship charter.
