Darcy Binder is a professional support lawyer for the Americas Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance regional section in the New York office.
Darcy assists the Americas EIPAF team in developing and maintaining an overall knowledge strategy for the team, creating and maintaining practice-related knowledge resources including standard form documentation, developing and implementing training programs, assisting team members in accessing the team's knowledge resources and keeping team members and clients informed of legal and business developments.
Darcy has extensive practice experience in the asset and project finance fields. She was an associate in the New York office of White & Case from 1994 to 2002. During that time, she worked on power, oil and gas, and manufacturing projects in countries such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Chad, Cameroon, Brazil and Mexico. She also gained leasing experience in Japanese leveraged leases of aircraft and railroad equipment and US leases of aircraft.
Darcy was seconded by White & Case to the International Finance Corporation for a period of one year, from 1996 to 1997, to work as a staff attorney. During that time, she worked on numerous project financings in China, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Poland, the Czech Republic and Columbia. She also participated in structuring and negotiating transactions and securing Board approval therefore, and worked on an initiative to extend International Finance Corporation's activities in various underdeveloped countries.
Darcy rejoined the Firm in her current position in 2011.
