Biography

Overview

Diego Mendoza Arrieta joined White & Case in 2019. His practice focus on Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Antitrust matters. Diego has thorough experience in Antitrust investigation procedures related to wide range of markets, including, among others, telecommunications, transportation, agriculture and other commodity markets in Mexico.

Prior to joining the firm, he held positions at the Investigative Authority of COFECE, at the Federal Competition Commission and at the Mexican Consumer Protection Federal Agency. Diego's previous experience includes participation in several investigations in regulated sectors and regarding monopolistic practices in Mexico. He also conducted several hearings and counseled consumers during his time at the Consumer Protection Office.

In addition, Diego obtained an MBA degree in Korea that combined with his public sector experience of legal and regulatory Antitrust issues in Mexico allows him to provide legal advice with strong business acumen.

Prior to obtaining his master's degree Diego worked for the Mexican Embassy in Korea analyzing economic exchange between Mexico and South Korea. During his postgraduate studies he worked at SK Lubricants Co., Ltd., Seoul's office assessing SK's subsidiaries to ensure all company practices and procedures were in line with their global business strategy, identifying potential risk factors and legal issues.
