Grace is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group. Her practice focuses on conducting patent validity, infringement, freedom to operate, and due diligence analyses, as well as patent portfolio management and strategic intellectual property development.

Grace has experience with a wide range of technologies, including medical devices, signal processing, data analytics, integrated circuits, semiconductor devices, disease diagnostics, network biology, genetic risk assessment, communications systems and networks, and cloud computing.

Prior to joining White & Case, Grace was a patent attorney at an international law firm. Grace's doctoral research focused on neural coding of complex auditory signals.

Representative Experience Includes:

  • In the Matter of Certain Filament Light Emitting Diodes and Products Containing Same, Inv. No. 337-TA-1172.  Counsel defending Walmart against Regents of the University of California's patent infringement claims relating to filament LEDs.
  • AnywhereCommerce v. Square, Inc. (ND. Cal.). Counsel for Square in a patent case relating to point-of-sale terminals.  Filed six IPR petitions challenging the validity of the asserted patents.
  • MRED v. Panasonic Corporation et al. (ED. Tx.). Counsel for Panasonic in a patent case relating to testing of semiconductor chips.
