Overview

Hui is an associate in the Firm's Capital Markets group in London. She has experience in a broad range of capital markets transactions, with a particular focus on OTC derivatives, structured products and structured finance transactions.

Hui has recently completed a year-long client secondment to a leading French investment bank, where she worked on a variety of rates, FX and credit derivative transactions and covered bond swaps as well as assisting extensively with the bank’s MiFID II legal implementation project across the EEA.

Prior to joining White & Case, Hui worked in the London office of a leading global law firm, where her practice included advising investment banks, retail banks, end users and service providers in relation to derivatives, derivative-linked debt securities, repackagings and CLOs.

Experience

Hui's recent experience includes advising:

A stock exchange, monetary agency and capital markets authority of a Middle Eastern sovereign State in their review and assessment of the State's entire OTC derivatives landscape, from documentation, regulatory and enforceability perspectives and helped in benchmarking the State against other notable jurisdictions and in light of its G20 commitments.

French investment banks as swap providers to a number of high-profile q1 and q2 CLO 2.0 issues for leading investment houses.

Arrangers and hedging banks in relation to cover bond programme issuances out of a number of jurisdictions.

A number of UK banks on the redemption of notes under existing 1.0 CLOs.

A leading US investment firm on its proposed acquisition of non-performing European and UK real estate portfolios from a leading European investment bank from a hedging perspective.
