Advised the mandated lead arrangers and original lenders on a US$1.275 billion senior secured financing provided to various retail, entertainment and media subsidiaries of Indonesian conglomerate, CT Corpora, which was named "Loan of the Year" at the IFR Asia Awards 2014. The transaction was split into three facilities, comprised of a US$500million facility for PT Trans Media Corpora and PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia, a US$500million facility for PT Trans Retail Indonesia and a US$275 million facility for PT Trans Retail. The proceeds were used to refinance the US$750 million loan for PT Trans Retail's acquisition of a 60% stake in Carrefour Indonesia, for refinancing an existing US$450 million facility of PT Trans Media Corpora and PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia and for refinancing an existing US$150 million facility of PT Trans Corpora which was used for the acquisition of an 80% stake in PT Indonusa Telemedia (TelkomVision). The original lenders included PT Bank ANZ Indonesia, Bank of America, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, DBS Bank, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, ING Bank, Maybank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Standard Chartered Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
Advised Credit Suisse AG, Singapore Branch and Standard Chartered Bank, as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners and Standard Chartered Bank as agent and offshore security agent on a US$150 million guaranteed and secured syndicated five-year term loan to Religare Global Asset Management, Inc., a subsidiary of Religare Enterprises Limited and the largest alternative asset management platform based out of India.
Advised IFC on a financing of Sound Global Ltd. to fund shareholder loans for the development of municipal wastewater treatment projects in China.
Advised China Development Bank Corporation as arranger, original lender, facility agent and security trustee, on the US$56 million acquisition financing provided to an Australian subsidiary of a leading Chinese state-owned energy services provider to acquire an interest in an Australian unincorporated joint venture formed to develop a coal mine in New South Wales.
Advised Deutsche Bank AG as arranger on a US$60 million acquisition financing for the acquisition of an interest in a synthetic products producer in China.
