Javier (Javi) Piñeiro is an associate in the Firm's Global Tax Practice Group. Javi's practice focuses on domestic and international tax law. Javi regularly advises clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions and the formation and operation of, and investment in, investment funds and joint ventures, with particular focus on renewable energy projects, as well as other domestic and cross-border tax matters.
Before joining White & Case, Javi attended the University of Michigan, where he obtained a J.D. from Michigan Law and a Master's in Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Through his dual degree program, Javi built experience in Latin America, working mostly on tax controversies, renewable energy projects, and international tax issues. Honing his background in tax policy and sustainability, Javi has participated in global initiatives involving Europe, Latin America and Africa.
