Jeremy Apple is an associate in the Firm's Sourcing & Technology Transaction Practice Group and a member of the Firm's Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Interest Group. Jeremy's practice includes transactional matters involving intellectual property, information technology, and data privacy and security, as well as data privacy and security advisory matters and cyber incident response and remediation.
He also advises clients on compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity laws and industry standards, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the New York State Department of Financial Services Cybersecurity Regulation, Federal Trade Commission Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and other U.S. federal, state and industry regulations and best practices. Jeremy also has working knowledge of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and works with colleagues across EU jurisdictions in related advisory and preparedness initiatives.
Prior to working at White & Case, Jeremy was the Senior Cybercrime Analyst at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where he assisted Manhattan prosecutors in all aspects of cybercrime and identity theft investigations, intellectual property rights enforcement, and criminal fraud matters.
