Biography

Overview

Joanna Schacter is a Litigation associate in the Washington, DC office. She serves a wide range of clients in complex intellectual property and commercial litigation disputes, including within the technology, media and data, and life sciences industries. She is also active in the Firm's pro bono practice, representing clients at trial and on appeal.

Joanna graduated from Cornell Law School with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation. She served as Notes Editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy, in which she was also published on aircraft safety regulation; as a Cornell Moot Court Board member, judge, and active competitor; and as a Campus Mediator. Joanna also interned full-time at an appellate litigation firm, where she represented indigent clients before the New York State Appellate Division.
