José Antonio Ruiz Porte Petit is a member of the Firm's Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Assets Finance Group and focuses his practice on the areas of infrastructure, energy, public procurement, and regulation.
José Antonio has advised both federal and state governmental entities and agencies in the legal design and instrumentation of infrastructure projects. He has also counseled companies in public works matters regarding public procurement procedures, government contracts, the development of projects, and alternative dispute resolutions.
Prior to joining the firm, José Antonio worked in a boutique law firm specialized in regulatory and administrative litigation related to infrastructure and public procurement matters. Additionally, from 2011 to 2015, while serving with the Ministry of Public Administration (SFP), he was involved in different procedures regarding public procurement matters, such as mediation, administrative procedures to sanction bidders, suppliers and contractors, protest procedures during public biddings, and transparency and information access petitions.
Finally, José Antonio taught Constitutional Law and an Oral Trial Skills and Alternative Dispute Resolutions Seminar at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, as well as Administrative Law at Universidad Anáhuac México Sur.
