Biography
Karen Sievert is an associate in our M&A/Corporate practice group with a focus on the energy sector.
She advises German and international clients on energy law issues. In addition to the advisory work, Karen Sievert also represents clients in proceedings before authorities and courts.
During her legal clerkship, Karen Sievert gained work experience as a trainee lawyer in the firms Project Development and Finance Group in London.

Blue Elephant Energy
Advised Blue Elephant Energy, backed by Antin Infrastructure Partners, on the acquisition of an onshore wind energy portfolio (with a total capacity of 381 MW) in Mecklenburg Western Pomerania.
Snam
Advised Snam on the €920 million acquisition from Infinity Investments of a 24.99% stake in Vier Gas Holding, which indirectly owns the entire share capital in Open Grid Europe.
CVC DIF
Advised CVC DIF on the acquisition of a 49 percent stake in BALANCE Erneuerbare Energien, the biogas subsidiary of Leipzig-based gas group VNG AG, and one of the largest biogas operators in Germany.
