Biography

Karla advises on trademark and design law issues before the EUIPO, UK IPO and the Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

She has worked with clients throughout the lifecycle of their brands including on portfolio management, clearance and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Karla has over a decade of experience advising some of the world's most valuable brands. Her experience spans sectors such as consumer and retail, entertainment, TMT, financial institutions, life sciences and healthcare and automotive. Karla is a contributing author of a leading EU trademark commentary, Concise European Trademark Law (Wolters Kluwer).

Karla is heavily involved in the International Trademark Association (INTA), is a former Chair of the Famous & Well-known Marks Committee and liaison to the Bad Faith Task Force. She has spoken at IP conferences such as ECTA, INTA and the German Federal Patent Court symposium.
