Katarzyna Czwartosz-Liber advises clients from the real estate sector.

She has advised on a number of transactions, which included, in particular, real estate acquisitions, development, commercialization, as well as construction of investments, such as shopping malls, supermarkets, exhibition centers, office and residential buildings. She has broad experience in advising developers and owners/managers of commercial centers and has carried out numerous legal due diligences of real estate. She prepares and negotiates contracts, and represents clients in administrative proceedings related to obtaining the relevant administrative decisions. She also represents clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings.

She participates in the preparation of investment structuring and their tax optimization, and in restructuring with the sale of real properties.

During her studies, she had an internship in a law firm in Switzerland. Before joining White & Case, she worked for a leading Polish law office.

Representation of the banks in connection with €205 million refinancing of portfolio of seven office buildings located in Warsaw belonging to Immofinanz.

Advised on the acquisition of the Wratislavia Center mixed-use building located in Wroclaw.

International asset management company
Advised an on approx. €73 million forward purchase of an office building being developed by Skanska in Poznań, Poland. The building constitutes phase I of the New Market mixed-use complex.

Advised REICO, acting on behalf of ČS nemovitostní fond, the largest and oldest Czech open-ended real estate investment fund, on the €164 million acquisition of the Galeria Słoneczna in Radom.

Representation of Prologis, the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, in the acquisition of industrial/warehouse portfolio in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, comprising Rudna Park near Prague, Senec Distribution Center near Bratislava and Zeran Park near Warsaw, from a global real estate investment management firm.

Allianz Real Estate GmbH
Advised in connection with the acquisition of a complex of office buildings in the Platinum Business Park located in Warsaw from Globe Trade Centre. Value of the transaction exceeded €173 million.

Bouygues Immobilier Polska
Assisted in the development of the new headquarter of TP SA (France Telecom Group) in Warsaw: office building of 42.000 sq.m. White & Case also advised Bouygues Immobilier Polska in the acquisition and tax structuring of the land on which the project will be located. The firm also advised on the sale of the project to Qatar Investment Holding (deal value exceed €200 million).

Assistance related to the joint-venture between Bouygues Immobilier and a Spanish developer in connection with the financial and tax restructuring of a residential project in Warsaw and in the acquisition of an investment under construction owned by the Spanish company in the course of the undertaking's implementation.

Assistance in connection with a number of multiple occupancy residential complexes in various locations in Warsaw, e.g., Villa L'Azur, La Village, Ogrody Kabackie, Lamartine, La Lumiere and Villa Concorde, including the drafting of construction agreements and agreements for architectural projects, drafting developer agreements relating to the sale of apartments and advised in obtaining administrative decisions and in environmental protection issues related to the construction of housing developments.

Assistance in connection with the headquarters of Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. (France Telecom Group) in Warsaw – an office building with the area of 42,000 m2, including assistance in the acquisition of land and obtaining the necessary administrative decisions.

Assistance in connection with the contemplated construction of an office building, including, among others, the analysis of the possibility of redeveloping a public road intersection into an underground intersection and constructing an office building over public roads.
