Biography
Kate is an Associate in the Firm's Project Development and Finance Group, working across the Melbourne and Singapore offices. She advises sponsors, financiers and export credit agencies on complex project and acquisition finance transactions, with a focus on major energy and infrastructure projects across the Asia-Pacific region. Kate has significant experience in the renewable energy sector, including offshore wind, solar and battery energy storage projects.
Experience
The export credit agencies and commercial lenders on the approximately US$3.3 billion project financing of Ørsted's 632MW Greater Changhua 2 Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan. This deal won Utilities Deal of the Year at the 2025 IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Awards.
The sponsor on the development and USD 3.1 billion project financing of the 495 MW Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan. This project is the first multi-party corporate power purchase agreement-backed offshore wind project in Asia, and was supported by 27 international and Taiwanese banks, as well as 5 export credit agencies. This deal won Offshore Wind Deal of the Year at the 2025 IJGlobal Asia-Pacific Awards.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on equity transactions in relation to the 589 MW Changfang and Xidao (CFXD) offshore wind project in Taiwan.
