Biography
Koketso Rapoo is an associate in the litigation practice of White & Case in Johannesburg, with a primary focus on regulatory advice and high court litigation. She has also represented client in commercial arbitrations.
Koketso has advised and acted on behalf of various multinational entities, local entities and state organisations (including regulatory bodies), with experience in a wide range of fields and industries including, general commercial litigation, financial services, public procurement laws, aviation, constitutional law, media and telecommunications, insolvency, mining and energy, and corporate governance.
Experience
Representing a South African telecommunications provider in a review application against the telecommunications and broadcasting authority in review of its spectrum policy and call termination regulations. *
Advising and representing the South African Reserve Bank in the curatorship and liquidation of a bank. *
Advising and representing various financial services regulatory bodies in relation to the termination of banking facilities instituted by a group of companies, trusts and individuals in the Equality Court and High Court. *
Advising and representing a large fund manager in relation to a claim against the former auditors of a now liquidated bank. *
Advising and representing the aviation authority in regulatory matters and disputes against local airlines and aviation trainin organisations. *
Representing a technology services entity in a procurement and contractual dispute against a provincial government. *
Advising and representing a South African telecommunications provider in a dispute with a global technology services company. *
Representing a South African telecommunications provider in a dispute with a multinational financial services and mobile technology solutions provider. *
Representing a construction fund in a claim against a JSE-listed construction and engineering group. *
Representing a South African parastatal in an access to information dispute against a non-profit civil rights organisation. *
Assisting a large multinational software corporation in an investigation involving substantial volumes of custodial data linked to prospective criminal and substantial civil liability.
Advising and representing a multinational management consulting company in relation to civil litigation in the form of review proceedings against state organs.
Advising and representing an oil and gas exploration company in respect of certain disputes related to its South African co-shareholder.
