Lawrence is an associate within the Litigation group at White & Case LLP, focusing on commercial disputes and antitrust matters. He is admitted to practice in New York state.

Lawrence graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School where he received the Junius Allison Award and the Cal Turner Fellowship. He served as a Senior Managing Editor on the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law, an Associate Justice on the Vanderbilt Moot Court Board, a Student Fellow to the American Inns of Court, and the Executive Director of the Vanderbilt Law School Legal Aid Society. He was recently honored by the New York State Bar Association's Business Law Section for his academic writing, and his work has been published in the New York Business Law Journal.

His prior legal work experience included serving as a member of the Vanderbilt Appellate Litigation Clinic, overseen by Alistair Newbern (now a judge in the Middle District of Tennessee). He also participated in the Securities and Exchange Commission's Honors Internship Program within the Enforcement Division. Lawrence previously served as a deputy policy advisor to Congressman Josh Gottheimer during his 2016 campaign.

Prior to law school, Lawrence completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co., addressing matters pertaining to the firm's liquidity in response to regulatory changes.
