Overview

Lorenzo Suzzi is a member of the White & Case Italian practice. His main areas of practice are Debt Finance and general corporate law.

Lorenzo's representative transactions include assistance to major financial institutions and private equity clients in leveraged finance and project finance transactions.

Prior to joining White & Case Lorenzo practiced as legal intern in two major international law firms in Milan and then joined the Firm as a trainee in May 2022.

Experience

The lenders in connection with the financing for the acquisition by CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII of La Piadineria, an Italian quick-service restaurant chain, from investment funds advised by Permira, DeA Capital and the founder of La Piadineria.

De' Longhi S.p.A., an Italian company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, in connection with the business combination between La Marzocco International, a Seattle-based espresso and high-end coffee machine maker, and Eversys, a Swiss company active in the production and distribution of coffee machines. The transaction involves the creation of a new US-based corporate holding structure controlled by De' Longhi, resulting from the contribution by De' Longhi of Eversys and the acquisition by De' Longhi of a majority stake in La Marzocco International, from its affiliate De' Longhi Industrial and certain minority shareholders. The aggregate enterprise value of the transaction is equal to approximately US$1,4 billion.

Recordati S.p.A., an international pharmaceutical group listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, in connection with a €400 million term loan financing for general corporate purposes.

CVC in connection with the €250 million term and revolving senior financing for their investment in Maticmind, an Italian IT company focused on proprietary intelligence technologies and integrated solutions in networking, cybersecurity, datacentres, cloud solutions and IoT.

Independent UK investment firm Peninsula Capital in connection with its acquisition of Isem S.r.l., a leading European company in the luxury packaging sector and one of the few to offer an integrated logistics service that counts among its customers world-leading groups such as L'Oreal, KIKO, Shiseido and Coty.
