Biography

Lucia Onofri is member of the White & Case Italian practice. Her main area of practice is Corporate M&A and Private Equity, with experience on Italian and cross-border transactions.

Prior to joining White & Case in November 2022 Lucia practiced as legal intern in another international law firm in Milan. Lucia attended as a foreign student the Kobe University in Japan and the Universidad Complutense in Madrid.

Experience

Luxury Living Group, part of the Haworth Lifestyle group, in connection with its acquisition of the entire stake in Fashion Furniture Design S.p.A., the company that holds the worldwide home license for the Fendi Casa brand.

Neopharmed Gentili, an Italian pharmaceutical company active in the marketing of high value therapeutic solutions, in connection with the acquisition of the European business of ORLADEYO® (berotralstat) from BioCryst Pharmaceuticals. This strategic acquisition strengthens the company's presence in the rare diseases sector across Europe.

Advised in connection with a club deal promoted by UniCredit's Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individual team. The transaction consisted of a number of Italian families and businesses making a co-investment in I.M.A. The transaction, valued at around €65 million, took place through the subscription of newly issued shares of the parent holding company of I.M.A. by a vehicle set up to combine the holdings of the co-investors.

A global investment fund in connection with the acquisition of certain unlikely-to-pay claims vis-à-vis an Italian telecommunications company being sold by a primary Italian bank, for a total aggregate amount equal to approximately €20 million.

DP Dent S.r.l. in connection with the sale and purchase of a stake representing 51% of the corporate capital of (i) DST Medica S.r.l. and of (ii) Odontocoop – Cooperativa Sociale ETS, subject to the fulfilment of certain CPs and with the execution - at Closing - of put & call option agreements relating to the remaining 49% stakes.

I.M.A. Industria Macchine Automatiche S.p.A. and its controlling shareholders in connection with an investment from BDT & MSD Partners. BDT & MSD Partners acquires its stake from international private equity fund BC Partners. The Vacchi family remains the majority owner of the IMA holding company.

Cathay Industries, a global and sustainable manufacturer of complete colors solutions, in connection with its US$140 million carve-out acquisition of Venator's iron oxide business. Venator is a global chemical company that delivers pigments and additives that contribute to a sustainable future.
