Marc advises clients on major financial transactions, with a particular focus on the natural resources and infrastructure sectors in Russia, the CIS states, Central and Eastern Europe, and other emerging markets. He has developed significant experience and knowledge of these local markets, advising both domestic clients as well as international organisations which can be less familiar with the local business climate. Marc has been instrumental in enabling some highly complex transactions to reach the completion stage, leading clients through each stage of the process and overcoming challenges encountered on the way. He has experience representing and advising investors, project sponsors and lenders on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and financings.

Advised JBIC and the international commercial banks in connection with the US$20 billion project financing of the Sakhalin II (Phase 2) integrated oil & gas and LNG Project in Russia.

PetroNeft Resources Oil & Gas Interests, 2014
Advised PetroNeft Resources plc, an oil and gas exploration and production company, on the US$85 million sale to Oil India Limited of a 50 percent non-operating interest in its License 61 project located in Russia's Western Siberia basin.

Macquarie Russia & CIS Infrastructure Fund (MRIF), 2012–2013
Advised MRIF, Sumitomo and International Finance Corporation (IFC) on their participation in a US$100 million investment round in Russian Towers, a growing telecom tower infrastructure provider in Russia.

GdF Suez, 2013
Advised on a long-term gas purchase from the Shah Deniz II consortium.

Paravani Hydro Power Plant, 2011
Advised European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) in connection with the US$115.5 million loan to finance construction of the 87-MW Paravani hydro power plant in Georgia.

Zvartnots International Airport, 2011
Advised the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) in connection with the US$100 million financing for the Zvartnots International Airport in Armenia.
