A valued resource for clients both in the Slovak Republic and around the world, Marek offers the benefit of his wide-ranging legal experience, practicing in and across multiple areas of law for the past 20 years. Dual-qualified in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, he worked in the Firm's Prague and New York offices before relocating to Bratislava.

Marek's multi-sector practice makes him particularly adept at guiding clients through the maze of complex legal issues arising from their business activities. His significant transactional record spans mergers and acquisitions, securities, variety of banking and project finance deals.

Marek's skill in developing and executing the most challenging of transactions has led to his involvement in a number of ground-breaking deals, noted for their complexity and pioneering dimension.

He has worked as a leader or co-leader on a wide range of transactions, including private equity and joint ventures and is also a widely acclaimed PPP expert in Slovakia.

Among others, his PPP experience includes representation of the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic in connection with the procurement and contracting of the PPP project for the design, construction, finance, operation and maintenance of sections of the D4 highway and R7 expressway in the Slovak Republic and the consortium consisting of Bouygues, Colas, Doprastav, Váhostav, Intertoll and Mota-Engil in the first-ever PPP program arranged by the Slovak Republic for D1 motorway.

Marek's advisory practice spans an array of corporate matters, across a range of territories and business areas. He brings particular insight to issues faced by clients in the areas of electronic communications, energy and financial services. Drawing on his significant experience of these sectors, he has acted as legal counsel on most of the major transactions within Slovakia.
