Biography

María Estela Pichardo is an Associate in the Corporate/M&A department of our Madrid office.

Her practice focuses on national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. Additionally, María Estela has experience in banking and finance, where she has provided legal counsel to both domestic and international banks and other entities across various financing transactions. Her expertise also extends to investment and commercial arbitration.

Waterland Private Equity in the acquisition of a significant stake in the capital of Auren Holding SP, S.L.P., a multidisciplinary professional services firm in Spain, specializing in audit, legal advisory, consulting and corporate finance services.

Providence Equity Partners, a specialist private equity investment firm focused on growth-oriented media, communications, education and technology companies throughout North America and Europe, on its sale of a 50% stake in Globeducate, a primary and secondary education provider with a network of 65 international schools across 11 countries, to Wendel for an enterprise value of c. €2 billion.

Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP) on the €734 million acquisition of 100% of Valoriza Servicios Medioambientales, S.A. from listed Spanish company Sacyr, S.A.

Acciona Energía on its €293 million auction sale of 175 MW of 23 hydroelectric assets located in Spain to Elawan Energy, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation.
