Mark has extensive experience in the delivery of major projects, particularly in the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors.
He regularly acts for corporate and government clients in relation to the development and financing of a wide range of major infrastructure and construction projects. He works throughout Australia and internationally in Asia and Latin America, in the transport, energy, infrastructure, power and resources sectors.
He advises on a range of project contracts from all forms of design and construct contracts, engineering, procurement and construction contracts, split ‘EPC’ contracts, equipment supply contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, alliance agreements, power purchase agreements, off-take agreements and joint venture agreements.

Mark is a Counsel in the Firm's Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group, a global team dedicated to providing business and strategic advice to clients regarding financing transactions, which enable the completion of major projects.
Acted for Energy Development Corporation in relation to the US$315 million ECA-backed financing and development of the 150MW Burgos Wind Farm in the Philippines and associated project agreements. This project was awarded 'Asia-Pacific Renewables Deal of the Year' by PFI.
Acted for GE Energy Financial Services Inc and Continental Wind Partners in relation to the 270 MW Boco Rock Wind Farm in New South Wales. This project was awarded the "Asia Pacific: Wind Deal of the Year 2013" by Project Finance International in April 2014.
Acted for ANZ on the 107MW Taralga Wind Farm in New South Wales.
Acted for the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority in relation to procurement strategies and the preparation of project documentation in relation to various packages, including the Rail Systems Alliance and the Rail Infrastructure Alliance.
Acted for the First Gen Corporation in relation to the development of a 97MW gas-fired peaking power station in Batangas, Philippines.
Acted for MMG in relation to projects at its Kinsevere mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and for Lane Xang Minerals Limited in relation to an upgrade project at its Sepon mine in Laos and power purchase arrangements.
Acted for SN Power in relation to the 168MW Cheves hydro power plant in Peru.
Acted for Pacific Hydro in relation to the 110MW Chacayes hydro power plant in Chile and the joint venture (between Pacific Hydro and Statkraft Norfund Power Invest) in relation to the development of the US$260 million 155MW La Higuera and US$350 million 158MW La Confluencia hydro power projects in Chile.
Acted for Wambo Power Ventures (a joint venture between ERM Power and Babcock & Brown) in relation to the development of a 600MW gas-fired peaking power station in Uranquinty, New South Wales.
Acted for ERM Power and Babcock & Brown in relation to the development of a 300MW gas-fired peaking power station in Neerabup, Western Australia.
Acted for ERM Power and Arrow Energy in relation to the 450MW Stage 2 development of the Braemar gas-fired power station in Queensland.
