Overview

Matthew Richards is a local partner in the Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance Group based in Johannesburg. Matthew specialises in project finance, construction and other commercial contracts, including power-purchase agreements, with experience in the power, energy, mining and infrastructure sectors.

Matthew has also advised corporate clients on bond issues, securitisation structures, private-equity transactions, preference-share funding and a wide range of general commercial-law transactions, ranging from distribution agreements to providing advice on financial regulatory matters in the retail financial services sector.
