White & Case wins five IJGlobal ESG “Deal of the Year” awards for Asia-Pacific

IJGlobal, an infrastructure and energy online news and data service, has honored global law firm White & Case LLP with five IJGlobal ESG "Deal of the Year" awards for Asia-Pacific.

The winning deals are:

  • IJGlobal ESG Renewable Energy Deal of the Year: Fengmiao 1 Offshore Wind Farm (Taiwan)

    White & Case advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its fund Copenhagen Infrastructure V, on the TWD 103 billion (approximately US$3.1 billion) project financing and development of the 495 MW Fengmiao 1 offshore wind project, located 35 kilometers off the coast of Taichung, Taiwan.

  • IJGlobal ESG Energy Storage Deal of the Year: Bungama Solar PV & BESS Project (New South Wales)

    White & Case advised the lenders to Amp Energy on the project financing for the construction of the first stage of its 250 MW / 500 MWh Bungama battery energy storage system (BESS) project and its 339 MWdc solar development project located near Port Pirie in South Australia.

  • IJGlobal ESG Nature Finance Deal of the Year: Coral Reef Ecosystems Protection (Indonesia)

    White & Case, acting as pro bono counsel, advised Conservation International on the signing of a groundbreaking debt-for-nature swap involving the United States, Indonesia and other leading environmental non-governmental organizations. This transaction aims to protect Indonesia's precious coral reef ecosystems by redirecting US$35 million of Indonesia's debt into an investment in coral reef conservation over the next nine years.

  • IJGlobal ESG Energy Transition Deal of the Year: SAFCO Sheikhupura SAF Plant (Pakistan)

    White & Case advised SAFCO Ventures on a landmark US$141.9 million combined debt and equity raise for the design, construction and operation of a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility in Sheikhupura, Pakistan.

  • IJGlobal ESG Renewable Energy Deal of the Year - Frontier Market: ACWA Power's Solar PV / BESS project (Tashkent, Uzbekistan)

    White & Case advised the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development and financing of the 200 MW Riverside solar PV and 500 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Uzbekistan. This is the largest BESS in Central Asia.
