Overview

Max Gino Tintignac is an associate in the International Arbitration Practice Group in Paris. He has experience representing corporations and States in both contract-based and investment treaty arbitrations, with particular focus on the Middle East and North Africa. 

Max also represents corporations as well as individuals before the French courts, and provides legal advice and guidance on ongoing projects and pre-dispute strategy.

Max has handled matters in a variety of industry sectors, including sports, construction, energy, telecommunications and retail.

Prior to joining White & Case, Max acquired experience in international arbitration and commercial litigation within a well-established boutique and a Magic Circle law firm.

Representing a major telecoms group in an arbitration against its co-investors and a Lebanese bank, arising out of an international fraud aggravated by the currency devaluation in Lebanon

Advising a Portuguese telecoms company following a multi-billion dollar ICC arbitration arising out of a shareholder dispute concerning a telecoms company in sub-Saharan Africa and subsequent annulment proceedings

Representing Prombati SPA, an Algerian project owner in an arbitration against Kayi, a Turkish contractor, over the construction of the Setif Park Mall*

Advising a sports agent against a professional football club in a dispute over an EUR80 million transfer of a player abroad

Representing a MENA gas producer in a multibillion gas pricing arbitration against an Italian gas supplier

Advising an hotel operator on several matters affecting its Beirut branch (including insurance coverage issues, claim valuation process, etc.) due to 2020 Beirut explosion

Advising a French company providing beauty care-related services in the framework of the creation of its franchise

Advising a luxury jewellery designer in an international multimillion sale to a MENA private client
