Maximilian Esser is an associate in our M&A/Corporate practice group with a focus on the energy sector.
He advises German and International clients on all energy-law related matters. He focuses on renewable energies and regulatory issues in the power and gas sector. Furthermore, Maximilian Esser is regularly involved in large M&A transactions.
Prior to joining White & Case Maximilian Esser gained work experience in New York, Tokyo, Paris and Brussels.
Advising STEAG GmbH on the sale of 49 percent of the shares in its wind farm portfolio in France to an infrastructure fund of Allianz Global Investors. STEAG remains majority shareholder with 51 percent and continues to be responsible for commercial and technical management.
Representing a power transmission system operator in a dispute against an energy supply company regarding EEG surcharge.
Representing an energy-intensive undertaking in Appeal Procedure before the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) regarding EEG surcharge.
Advising a large producer of cardboards on diverse questions relating to energy law, especially on regulatory matters.
Representing grid operators in court proceedings in relation to grid fees pursuant to the Incentive Regulation Ordinance (ARegV) before the Higher Regional Court.
