Michael is an associate in the Project Development and Finance Practice in the Houston office of White & Case. His practice focuses on global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) transactions. Michael has experience advising owners, developers and contractors on the development and implementation of projects in the energy, energy services and infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining White & Case, Michael held multiple in-house counsel roles, including working as Lead Sourcing Counsel for a global energy technology company, spearheading efforts to optimize their contract infrastructure after its spin-off from its parent company, and working as Corporate Counsel for an EPC company, supporting them in the planning and execution of onshore and offshore engineering and construction projects, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, petrochemical complexes, refineries and floating production units (FPUs). He also worked overseas as a summer associate in Equatorial Guinea and Mexico.
Michael is the past Chair of the US Chapter of the Young Negotiators Group of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN) and was selected to the 5th Leadership Class of the Institute for Energy Law (IEL).
