Biography
Mikail Mermi is a Senior Associate in our global M&A and Corporate practice based in Sydney, specialising in mergers & acquisitions (both cross-border and domestic transactions), particularly acting for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.
Mikail advises financial sponsors, corporates, managers and investors on private M&A, joint ventures, equity structuring, regulatory compliance and general corporate advisory work. He also has experience in structuring funds and transacting at a fund-level, and in debt financing transactions.
Mikail has worked across various sectors, including technology (particularly data centres and software), healthcare and
energy.

- Blackstone on its landmark ~A$24 billion acquisition of AirTrunk from Macquarie Asset Management and PSP.
- A private equity fund management firm on the sale of a data centre platform in Southeast Asia.
- EQT and Icon on a divestment of Icon's Hong Kong operations.
- EQT on the purchase of Fitness Passport.
- PSP Investments on its acquisition of an agriculture technology business.
- Vistage Worldwide on its purchase of TEC Australia and New Zealand, an executive coaching business.
- On the merger of California-incorporated OmegaX and Delaware-incorporated Pivotal Systems (listed on the ASX).
- Dexus on various fund-level and asset-level transactions.
