Biography
Misbah is an Associate in White & Case's Debt Finance practice, specializing in leveraged and bank/bond financings, acquisition financing, corporate loans, syndications and real estate financings (both investment and development financing across a variety of commercial real estate asset classes and jurisdictions).
He advises banks and other financial institutions, private equity investors and corporates in respect of complex cross-border finance transactions.
Before joining White & Case in 2024, he practiced at another international law firm in their London office.
Experience
J.P. Morgan and DZ Bank
Advised J.P. Morgan as initial purchaser on TMD Friction's issuance of €350 million senior secured notes due 2031, and J.P. Morgan and DZ BANK as lenders on TMD Friction's €35 million super senior revolving credit facility with a maturity of 4.5 years.
Aareal Bank
Advised Aareal Bank on its initial financing of a data center, expanding its product portfolio to include a new asset class.
Banking consortium
Advised a European banking consortium coordinated by Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft on the €3 billion refinancing of Vonovia, a major residential holding based in Germany.
Bank syndicate led by Citi and J.P. Morgan
Advised a syndicate of banks on the extension and increase of the syndicated financing of Befesa S.A., a recycling services provider for hazardous waste in the steel and aluminium industry, consisting of a €650 million secured term loan (term loan B) maturing in July 2029, a €100 million revolving credit facility maturing in July 2028 and a €35 million guarantee facility maturing in July 2028.
Net Zero Properties
Advised a subsidiary of Net Zero Properties (Net Zero), a residential real estate platform based in Luxembourg, on the acquisition and financing of a residential portfolio of approximately 3,300 units from the Zentral Boden Immobilien Group (ZBI).
Partners Group and Investec
Advised Partners Group, acting on behalf of its clients, and Investec Bank (Switzerland) AG on the financing of Duke Street LLP's (Duke Street) acquisition of ForLife Group (ForLife).
