Monika Sedláčková, an associate of the Prague office, is a member of the M&A/Corporate and Private Equity practice groups. Her specialization is M&A, commercial law, ICT law and privacy & data protection.
Monika has extensive expertise advising clients on corporate and regulatory aspects of various legal issues. She primarily focuses on clients from the electronic communications, media, software, e-commerce and other technology-related business sectors.
In the course of her legal practice, she has been involved in numerous complex projects, including acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures. Monika’s practice comprises in-depth experience with legal advice related to GDPR compliance. She also participates in a wide variety of regulatory and anti-trust matters at both the national and European levels.

PPF – USD 2.1 billion acquisition of CME
Monika represented PPF Group in the $2.1 billion acquisition of CME, which operates television stations in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the approval of the CME shareholders, the European Commission, and national regulators in certain countries where CME is active.
The Carlyle Group – acquisition of a majority stake in Memsource
Monika advised The Carlyle Group on its acquisition of a majority stake in Memsource a.s., a leading translation technology provider that assists global corporations and the language services industry to automate the localisation of large volumes of multilingual content.
MVM Group – acquisition of E.ON's Czech Innogy retails operations
Monika advised MVM Group, Hungary's state-owned energy group, on its acquisition of the entire share capital in innogy Česká republika, a.s. from innogy Beteiligungsholding GmbH, a member of the innogy/E.ON Group. MVM Group is a sovereign-owned integrated energy company with the highest market share in the national electricity and gas markets in Hungary.
