Nicholas Coddington concentrates on project finance, real estate finance and general syndicated corporate finance in the CEE region, with a main focus on Poland.

His experience in Poland and the CEE region to date has been in connection with advising banks and borrowers in relation to project finance, real estate finance, corporate finance and acquisition finance, as well as advising banks and companies on methods of restructuring existing facilities. He is well versed in the types of lending structures used both in Poland and the CEE region.

Prior to joining White & Case, Nicholas worked for a Magic Circle firm in London, and following that he worked for the Warsaw offices of two multinational law firms headquartered in London.

A consortium of financial institutions: representation of a consortium of Polish and international financial institutions in connection with PLN 5 billion financing of the Polimery Police project carried out by Grupa Azoty, consisting of a propane dehydrogenation installation (PDH installation), a polypropylene production installation (PP installation) and an auxiliary installation including storage terminal and logistics and shipment area. It is one of the largest projects ever implemented under the project finance formula in Poland.

Promontoria Hampton (1) Limited: representation of Promontoria Hampton (1) Limited (as a lender), being the subsidiary company of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P., and Balmain Polish Retail Investments sp. z o.o. (as a borrower) in connection with the sale by the borrower of portfolio of commercial real properties located in 8 different cities in Poland.

Ghelamco: representation of the company in connection with the financing up to the amount of EUR 221 million and PLN 45 million for the construction of an office-services-hotel complex called „The Warsaw Hub."

Bank Pekao S.A.: representation of the bank in connection with the PLN 1.26 billion refinancing of the indebtedness of Żabka Polska sp. z o.o., the operator of a major retail chain of convenience stores in Poland.

BGK: representation of BGK in connection with US$36.7 million credit facilities provided to InPost Canada Inc. in order to finance the export of Polish-produced automatic postal delivery boxes and related infrastructure to Canada. The transaction was insured by the Polish export credit agency, Korporacja Ubezpieczeń Kredytów Eksportowych Spółka Akcyjna ("KUKE").

EDF Investissements Groupe SA: representation of the company in connection with the PLN 2.4 billion secured financing made available to EDF Polska S.A. for the current activity and financing of the projects of building and commissioning of a wet flue gas desulphurisation and de-nitrification systems in the borrower's plants located in Krakow, Rybnik, Gdansk and Gdynia.

Green Bear: representation of a renewable energy market operator concentrating on searching for, developing and executing wind energy projects, in connection with the financing of the Radzyń Wind Farm in Poland of a total capacity up to 39 MW provided by EBRD and Alior Bank S.A.

Helaba Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen: representation of the bank in connection with the €136 million financing granted to Starwood Capital Group for their acquisition of three office properties located in Warsaw and Katowice.

P4 sp. z o.o.: representation of the Poland-based mobile telecoms operator in its groundbreaking, inaugural €870 million and PLN 130 million, dual-tranche high yield bond issue and entry into a new super senior revolving credit facility.

Erste Group Bank AG: representation of the Erste Group in the financing of a 42 MW wind farm project in Ogorje, Croatia.  The project is sponsored by Akuo Energy, France's leading independent power producer in renewable energy, and local renewable energy developers, FEH Ulaganja d.o.o and their partners.

EBRD, EIB and Bank Pekao S.A: representation of the banks in connection with financing of approx. PLN 1.4 billion for the construction and operation of a combined cycle gas turbine unit in the Stalowa Wola Heat and Power Plant (Elektrociepłownia Stalowa Wola).
