Overview

Nora Fredstie is a senior associate in White & Case's Dispute Resolution group based in London, whose practice focuses on international arbitration.

She is experienced in investment, construction, oil & gas, renewable energy, automotive, and pharmaceutical arbitrations arising under the rules of most leading arbitral institutions (including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, SIAC, and CRCICA), seated around the world, as well as the enforcement, annulment, and set-aside procedures related to such arbitrations. Nora's practice also includes advising states on matters of public international law.

Further to her counsel work, Nora has acted as administrative secretary to arbitral tribunals, both in commercial and in investment arbitrations. She has participated in various industry projects,  is a regular speaker and lecturer on arbitration topics, and has taught international dispute settlement at several universities in Europe. Nora is also a member of the IBA Arb40 Steering Committee, the Chair of Young Arbitration Practitioners Norway, and is listed as a future leader in International Arbitration by Who's Who Legal since 2020. Nora has an active pro bono practice in which she advises individuals and opposition groups in conflict areas on issues of public international law, with a focus on international criminal law and post-conflict matters. She further advocates for marginalised groups in the UK and US.
