Oliver Habighorst is recognized as a highly recommended lawyer in Corporate Law by Best Lawyers/Handelsblatt 2014, and as a highly recommended civil law notary in Corporate Law and Real Estate by JUVE 2015.
Oliver counsels companies on a spectrum of corporate law matters. He also advises on matters relating to corporate transactions and mergers and acquisitions, both as a lawyer and as a notary.
His practice has a particular focus on the reshaping of group structures and joint ventures, particularly those of major, non-listed (German 'Mittelstand') companies. He also has considerable, hands-on experience of establishing non-profit organisations founded by companies, as well as of advising their corporate bodies and shareholders on an array of legal issues.
Oliver's deep knowledge of corporate law is partly based on his experience prior to becoming a practicing lawyer, working as a research assistant at the Institute for German and European Corporate and Business Law of the University of Heidelberg.
A partner in the Firm's Frankfurt office, Oliver speaks fluent English as well as his native German. He is a member of various professional associations, including the German Lawyer's Association, the Corporate Law Association and the Frankfurt Legal Society. Furthermore, Oliver is an associated member of the board of the Chamber of Notaries Public, Frankfurt.
