Biography
Overview
Omid Dares is an associate in our global Mergers and Acquisitions practice in Stockholm and joined White & Case in 2021. Omid mainly advises clients in relation to domestic and cross-border M&A, capital raisings, venture capital transactions, restructurings and general corporate and financial regulatory matters.
Prior to joining White & Case, Omid studied at Stockholm University and University of Glasgow. Omid commenced his career at the Firm as a Junior Trainee.
Experience
Representation of Vauban Infrastructure Partners on the 100 percent acquisition from Green Investment Group of Nordic Renewable Power Holding, a portfolio of three wind farms in Norway and Sweden with 40 wind turbines and an aggregated capacity of approximately 170MW.
Representation of Stora Enso on its sale of Nymölla paper production site in Sweden to Sylvamo, a US-based global producer of uncoated paper, for an enterprise value of approximately €150 million.
Representation of Swedish fintech Juni on its US$100 million Series B equity funding round.
Representation of Tink, one of Europe's leading open banking software-as-a-service providers, on its sale to Visa for €1.7 billion.
Representation of Oatly on its US$10 billion initial public offering (IPO) and Nasdaq New York listing on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
Representation of Klarna on its acquisition of HERO, an online retailer which brings the concept of in-person customer service to e-commerce.
Representation of a consortium of long-term European institutional investors comprising APG Asset Management N.V., PGGM Vermogensbeheer B.V., Alecta pensionsförsäkring, Keva and AXA Infrastructure Equity on the acquisition of 50 percent of the shares in Stockholm Exergi Holding AB from Fortum for a total consideration of approximately SEK 29.5 billion (approximately €2.9 billion).
