Biography

Overview

Patricia López Padilla specializes in general taxation and litigation, with more than 20 years of experience advising clients in domestic and cross-border transactions providing tax advice on mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions, and represents clients with respect to international taxation and tax litigation. She is an expert in tax planning, consulting and litigation. She has successfully advised clients in procedures to avoid tax disputes by supporting and analyzing their transactions, from a tax regulatory and business-oriented perspective.

Patricia has advised taxpayers from various sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, oil industry, real estate developments, and technology platforms.

She graduated from the Universidad Panamericana, and is a professor of Tax Law and Income Tax at the Universidad Panamericana since 2000 to date, and currently is Vice President of the National Tax Commission of the Employers Confederation of Mexico (COPARMEX).

Before joining White & Case, Patricia worked for several prestigious tax-specialized law firms in matters related to consulting and tax litigation.
