Patrick Dorsey is a litigation associate in the Washington, DC office of the Firm. He represents financial institutions, pharmaceutical firms, and international clients in the resolution of complex disputes. Patrick's experience includes commercial litigation and antitrust matters before U.S. federal courts; he has also advised on matters arising from government investigations pursuant to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and securities laws. Patrick maintains an active pro bono practice as a contributor to the Firm's international human rights efforts.
During law school, Patrick interned at the National Security Division of the Department of Justice and led a pro bono team in a study commissioned by the Department of State. As a student member of the Prosecution Clinic at the University of Virginia School of Law, Patrick prosecuted trials on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He served as the President of the Student Legal Forum and as an executive editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
Before attending law school, Patrick worked for several years at a defense and aerospace firm, where he advised an international program of the Department of Defense.
