Patrick is an associate in the Firm's Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Group in London. Patrick advises clients on all aspects of cross-border restructurings, workouts and insolvency matters as well as undertaking general bank lending work. His clients include banks, noteholders, funds, insolvency practitioners, companies as well as trustees.

Previously, Patrick worked in the Firm's structured finance group, advising on securitisations, derivatives and credit-linked notes. Patrick also spent several months on secondment with some of the Firm's key clients including Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and Macquarie Bank.

Advised Ukreximbank, the Ukrainian export-import bank in its restructuring negotiations with creditors and subsequent consent solicitation in connection with the $17.5 billion recapitalisation of the Ukraine and its state-owned enterprises by the International Monetary Fund.

Advised the creditor's committee for bondholders to the Sterling Resources Group, a North Sea Oil and Gas producer, in respect of a liability management exercise, enforcement analysis and the bond amendment negotiations.

Advised the steering committee of lenders in the out-of-court restructuring of a $3 billion loan to Sacher Funding Limited, an affiliate of the Austrian bank BAWAG PSK.

Advised various hedge funds and private equity funds in their contingency planning for a Greek sovereign default, including in respect of capital control risks, deliverability under CDS contracts and intercreditor rights.

Advised Zolfo Cooper as administrator on all aspect of the pre-pack administration sale of Iridium France S.A.S., the holding company of the Marken Group, a life sciences conglomerate.

Advised KPMG as administrators of Powerfuel Plc, owner of the Hatfield Colliery on all aspects of the administration of the company.

Advised a range of clients, including hedge funds, private equity funds and corporates, on their rights as creditors of Lehman Brothers International Limited in administration.

Advised Nordic Capital as sponsor on its leveraged acquisition and related financing of the Handicare Group, one of Europe's leading healthcare equipment companies.

Advised Svenska Handelsbanken AB on the set-up of an innovative cross-border cash pooling arrangement involving hybrid physical and notional set-off arrangements.
