Pavel Čížek is a Czech advocate who primarily focuses on construction and energy law and M&A transactions.
He participates in a number of energy and infrastructure projects concerning, for example, construction of power plants (CCGT and nuclear), a steel mill, a gas pipeline, or projects concerning supply of various equipment or plant units. He has been involved at a legal feasibility stage of such projects, during drafting and negotiating of the contracts underlying these projects (mainly EPC and EPCM contracts, with a focus on FIDIC or CRINE based contracts). Clients benefit from his an extensive knowledge of public procurement aspects of the projects and has experience with preparation of tendering documentation.
With regard to general corporate and commercial legal matters, Pavel has advised on various corporate issues relating to restructurings (mergers and capital changes) and various other corporate changes, including their registration in the Commercial Register and other registers. He assisted clients with setting up their business presence in the Czech Republic and has further provided ongoing advice to clients on various corporate, labor and commercial issues arising in the course of the operation of their business, including the drafting of necessary contracts. Pavel also has a broad knowledge of corporate governance matters.
Representing NET4GAS, acting as the gas TSO in the Czech Republic, in connection with (i) the construction of several gas pipelines designed to increase the gas transmission capacity available in the Czech Republic, and (ii) the obtainment of third party access and ownership unbundling exemptions under the applicable EU legislation.

Advising ČEZ Distribuce, a. s. and ČEZ, a. s. in connection with more than 50 public contracts for the supply of materials, the provision of services (including IT services), and the performance of construction works for the operation of an electricity grid distribution system.
Advising companies such as BBAM Aircraft Management LP, Zephyrus Aviation, International Lease Finance Corporation, Aercap Global Aviation Trust, AerSale and Deutsche Bank on various projects within the aviation industry, including aircraft sales, leases and related transfers, as well as registration proceedings before the Czech Civil Aviation Authority.
