Biography

Overview

Phoenix Kushner is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution group of the Firm's London office and focuses her practice on international arbitration. Her experience includes representing companies on construction disputes and other cross-border arbitrations under LCIA and ICC rules.

Phoenix joined White & Case in 2016 as a trainee, gaining experience in the Firm's Capital Markets and Project Finance groups. Phoenix also spent six months working in the Firm's Dubai office with the Construction and Engineering Group.

Phoenix is involved in a number of pro bono initiatives within the firm and received a White & Case pro bono award in 2017 for her work advising a humanitarian charity in relation to a breach of licensing agreements and certain contractual claims.

Experience

Representing the main contractor on one of the world's largest infrastructure projects located in Central America, in a series of related ICC arbitrations against the employer, worth in excess of $1 billion.

Acting for a Middle Eastern sovereign government in an ICC arbitration concerning the construction of the passenger terminal building at an international airport.

Representing a ship builder in a multi-million euro LCIA arbitration concerning the major refurbishment of an FPSO.
