Overview

Renata Ryglová joined White & Case in 2014. As a lawyer, she now focuses on the energy sector, public procurement and intellectual property law.

During her studies, Ms. Ryglová also worked as an intern at the Prague Municipal Court and in a Czech law firm, where she gained experience in the area of administrative and intellectual property law, in particular.

Ms. Ryglová is a member of the ALAI – an international organization of lawyers focusing on intellectual property law. She also regularly publishes articles focused on intellectual property issues.

In the energy sector, Ms. Ryglová regularly advises on regulatory issues, as well as on administrative proceedings pending before administrative authorities in the Czech Republic.

In the energy sector, Ms. Ryglová is frequently involved in the provision of advisory services provided to a number of major clients of the Prague office.

In addition, Ms. Ryglová regularly assists clients with intellectual property law issues, and has been involved in a number of due diligence exercises in connection with the acquisition of Czech and foreign companies.

Experience

Legal advisory services in the area of procurement (including the drafting of tender documentation and contractual documentation) for a number of contracting authorities.

Legal advisory services to the Czech Ministry of Transport before and during a tender for the selection of a concessionaire for the PPP D4 project, which is a pilot infrastructure PPP project in the Czech Republic. Our work includes, in particular, the drafting of tender documentation, including the terms of a concession agreement, participation in the contracting authority’s committee for the assessment and evaluation of bids, attendance at meetings as part of the competitive dialogue, dealing with objections, and representation of the public contracting authority before the Office for the Protection of Competition.

Legal advisory services to ČEZ Distribuce, the distribution system operator in the Czech Republic, in relation to public procurement issues, particularly in connection with the preparation of tender documentation, the assessment and evaluation of bids, and dealing with objections.

Legal advisory services to NET4GAS, s.r.o., the transmission system operator in the Czech Republic, in connection with the construction of gas pipelines and PCI projects, particularly in connection with the preparation of tender documentation, the assessment and evaluation of bids, and dealing with objections.
