Ruchita Dhawan is an associate in the Intellectual Property Group in White & Case's Silicon Valley office. Her practice focuses on transactional and litigation matters involving intellectual property, information technology, outsourcing and information privacy.
Ms. Dhawan's transactional work includes matters in industries such as software, financial services and hospitality. She has assisted clients with supply and distribution agreements, transition services agreements, outsourcing agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, as well as advised on intellectual property issues relating to diligence, transfer, representations and warranties in M&A and bank finance deals. Ms. Dhawan has worked on matters for Deutsche Bank, Jefferies & Company, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Royal Bank of Canada, among others.
Ms. Dhawan's prior litigation matters included representing foreign and domestic companies in disputes over patents, as well as in matters involving business torts such as trade secret misappropriation. Her experience included obtaining dismissal for Powerchip Technology Corporation from a trade secret misappropriation matter in California state court.
While in law school at Duke University School of Law, Ms. Dhawan served as Articles Editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative and International Law.
