Sean Curran is a Senior Associate in White & Case's Project Development and Finance group. 

Sean regularly acts for global financiers, sponsors and governments in connection with financing arrangements relating to the development or acquisition of industry-leading energy and infrastructure projects. He has recent professional experience working in London, Beijing and Singapore, and in his current role he advises on some of the most notable project financing transactions across the APAC region.

Sean has particularly in-depth experience with negotiating and documenting complex hedging arrangements linked to large-scale project and acquisition financing arrangements (including ISDA Master Agreement negotiations, deal-contingent hedging, and hedging novation arrangements).

Zhong Neng Offshore Wind Project
Advised the sponsors, China Steel Corporation and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (through its Copenhagen Infrastructure IV fund), on the development and NTD 45 billion (US$1.6 billion) project financing of the 298MW Zhong Neng offshore wind project located off the coast of Taiwan.

Jeonnam Offshore Wind Project
Advised Jeonnam Offshore Wind Power Co. Ltd (a JV between Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and SK E&S Co Ltd) in connection with the project financing of the 99MW Stage 1 of the Jeonnam offshore wind project located off the coast of South Korea.

Renewables Portfolio Refinancing - Igneo Infrastructure Partners
Advised Atmos Renewables (an entity fully owned by funds managed by Igneo Infrastructure Partners) in connection with hedging arrangements relating to an A$850 million green loan portfolio refinancing which consolidated existing asset-level debt across a portfolio of solar and wind assets.

Golden Plains Wind Farm
Advised TagEnergy in connection with the project financing of Stage 1 of the 756MW Golden Plains Wind Farm in Victoria, Australia.

Solar Power Projects – India
Acted for the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as lender in connection with financing arrangements relating to several large solar power projects located in Rajasthan, India.

Acquisition of Nexif-Energy's Energy Asset Portfolio
Advised RATCH Group PCL (a Thailand-based power producer) in connection with its acquisition of Nexif Energy's Australian and Southeast Asian renewables-focused energy asset portfolio for US$605 million.

Acquisition of Origin Energy
Advised EIG Global Energy Partners in connection with the A$18.5 billion acquisition of Origin Energy (a leading Australian energy generator and retailer) and related hedging and debt financing arrangements.

Perdaman Urea Plant
Advised Perdaman Group in connection with hedging arrangements relating to the A$6.4 billion financing of the development and construction of Australia's largest urea production facility.

Asian Infrastructure Securitization Program
Acted for AIIB in connection with its anchor investment in a US$401 million infrastructure asset-backed securities (IABS) issuance listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and sponsored by Bayfront Infrastructure Management.
