Biography

Seena Fakhimalizad is an associate in the Firm's International Trade Group and an active member of the Economic Sanctions and Export Controls team. His practice focuses on compliance with U.S. economic sanctions and export controls laws and regulations administered by the US Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") and the US Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security ("BIS"). Seena also maintains an active pro bono practice, concentrating on immigration and asylum-related matters.

Seena graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a Karsh-Dillard Scholar and served as the Business Editor of the Virginia Journal of International Law. He also held positions of responsibility with the Middle Eastern and North African Law Student Association and the National Security Law Forum. Prior to joining White & Case as a Summer Associate, Seena was an Honors Legal Intern at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC").
