Biography
Overview
Shirene is an associate in our Global M&A practice. She has experience advising across a broad range of corporate matters for both domestic and international clients including private mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and corporate reorganizations.
Prior to qualifying into the Corporate Private Equity group, Shirene spent time in the firm's Capital Markets and International Arbitration practices in London, as well as the Corporate M&A and Private Equity practice in Dubai.
Experience
Representative transactions include:
Representation of Pipeline Technique, a portfolio company of Bluewater Private Equity, on its acquisition of the Stanley Oil and Gas business from Stanley Black & Decker, a Fortune 500, NYSE listed international pipeline services and equipment company.
Representation of TruKKer, a Saudi-headquartered digital freight network, on its Series B equity and debt funding round, and on its US$100m Series C funding round.
Representation of Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, on a co-investment with Vista Equity Partners in the US$8.4 billion take-private acquisition of Alvara, Inc. (NYSE: ALVR), a provider of tax compliance automation for US SMBs.
Representation of Mubadala on the acquisition of approx. 47.9% stake in Dental Care Alliance from Harvest Partners for approx. US$900million (giving the business an EV in excess of US$1.8 billion).
Representation of The Industrialization and Energy Services Company (TAQA) on its acquisition of Al Mansoori Petroleum Services LLC (AMPS), a provider of oilfield services in the Middle East based in Abu Dhabi.
Representation of Malaysia-headquartered iron-ore mining company Southern Alliance Mining on its SS$122.3 million IPO in Singapore.*
