BNP Paribas

Representation of BNP Paribas in connection with the JOLCO financing of three new A320-200 aircraft for ICBC Leasing. The transaction won Global Transport Finance's "Aircraft Leasing Deal of the Year 2014 - Asia".

Minsheng Financial Leasing Corporation

Representation of Minsheng Financial Leasing Corporation in connection with its portfolio acquisition of 13 aircraft from Ryanair, China Eastern Airlines, Norwegian Air, SAS, and Iberia. Currently the sale and novation of 5 aircraft has been closed. The transaction won "China Deal of the Year" Award from AirFinance Journal 2014.

Copa Airlines

Representation of Copa Airlines in a series of JOLCO financings of new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, this being an expansion of the JOLCO product in to the Latin American markets.

Century Tokyo Leasing (CTL)

Representation of CTL in connection with a series of lease finance transactions for various aircraft, engines and spare part inventories, in collaboration with its US based partner, G A Telesis.

CDB Leasing

Representation of CDB Leasing in connection with the acquisition of five aircraft from GECAS, including the transfer of JCAB registration structure for Japanese registration and ownership requirements, and subsequent JOLCO financing of three aircraft. This transaction was a rare example of a JOLCO financing (i) for an operating lessor, (ii) involving an operating lease to a Japanese airline and (iii) involving the JCAB registration structure with title held by a separate SPC. This deal won Airfinance Journal’s "Tax Deal of the Year" in 2012.

Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC)

Representation of JBIC and the commercial lenders in the financing of two LNG tankers, constructed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, owned by Mitsubishi Corporation, and chartered to Chubu Electric for use on the Gorgon LNG and Ichthys LNG projects in Australia (TPS 1 and 2).

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha/ Chuba Electric

Representation of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha and their joint venture partner Chubu Electric, in regard to the formation of a joint venture to acquire, own, operate and charter a new build LNG ship and project financing of the acquisition (TPS 3).

Seaspan Corporation

Representation of Seaspan Corporation in connection with JOLCO financing of two container vessels. This transaction is a rare example of a cross-border maritime JOLCO financing.

Aozora Bank

Representation of Aozora Bank in connection with mortgage enforcement and financing restructuring during the Chapter 7 liquidation of Eastwind Maritime, in relation to 12 refrigerated cargo vessels.
