Susan Huffard is Counsel in the Firm's Private Wealth & Family Office practice group. Susan has extensive experience in the areas of sophisticated estate planning and complex estate and trust administration. She advises clients in developing and implementing estate plans which are tailored to achieve each client's personal estate-planning goals while minimizing wealth transfer taxes.
Susan also has a broad range of experience representing individual executors and trustees, and financial institutions, in connection with the administration of estates and trusts. She has a comprehensive knowledge of wealth transfer tax laws, related income tax laws, and trust, estate and fiduciary laws that impact all facets of estate planning and estate and trust administration.
Susan has practiced law in both New York and Connecticut. Susan started her career as an associate in the Private Clients group at White & Case, then worked for several years as counsel with an estate-planning firm in Greenwich, Connecticut, before returning to White & Case LLP in fall 2021.
