Tariq is an associate in our Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Practice focusing on project development and finance transactions in Latin America. He has experience representing sponsors and lenders in international project financings in the power, oil & gas, transportation and mining sectors.
Prior to joining White & Case, Tariq worked as a developer with a leading Japanese owner of independent water and power plants and as a banker with a leading English investment bank.

Advising the sponsor of an LNG to power project in El Salvador on various development and project financing matters, including with respect to the negotiation of a FSRU time charter party.
Advised three international development banks and one commercial bank on the project financing of a portfolio of wind power projects developed under Argentina's RenovAR program.
Advised the sponsors on the Al-Zour North IWPP in Kuwait, a 1500 MW combined cycle power plant with an integrated 100 MIGD desalination plant. It was the first public private partnership completed in Kuwait at a project cost of US$1.5 billion.*
Advised export credit agencies and commercial lenders on the US$8.5 billion Australia Pacific LNG project, the largest project financing completed at the time.*
